Being sick with the flu, my husband surprised me with a beautiful camellia shrub which he will plant after the ground thaws. Knowing that this will blossom before Spring, I have been waiting anxiously for the first blossom. I was surprised when I looked out the window this morning to see the first flower. It is such a beautiful color to brighten this winter morning. This is right out of the camera. No editing required with perfection! Spring will be here soon.
Refilling the vase with water, I set the flowers on the countertop. I liked the composition.
Thick rows of daffodils growing out of the dense clay soil. After a recent downpour, water collects between the rows mirroring the blossoms above.
